Ford F-150 tire size is not one number. A 2025 XL 4x2 can wear 245/70R17. An XLT 4x4 often wears 275/65R18. Lariat and Platinum commonly wear 275/60R20, the stamp this site opens on. Tremor wears 275/70R18. Raptor wears 315/70R17, or 37x12.50R17 on the 37-inch package. The door sticker is the only one that knows which truck you have.
Stock sizes by trim
These rows are the current 14th-gen (2021+) North American packages that show up on Ford and tire-shop trim lists. 4x2 and 4x4 of the same trim do not always share a size. FX4 packages often switch to an LT265/70R18. When the sticker says LT, match the LT.

Why the sticker beats the chart
F-150 is why "tire size by vehicle" is a weak search and "F-150 tire size" is a strong one. The badge covers a half-ton, a Tremor and a Raptor. Shops that "always mount 275/60R20 on F-150s" get the XL and the Raptor wrong in the same afternoon.
A Ford F-150 can leave the factory on more than one size. Export markets, mid-year packages and previous-owner plus-sizes all disagree with a chart. Read the driver-door placard. Match width, aspect ratio and rim together.
Swapping to a different size
275/60R20 is 33.0 inches. 275/65R20 is 34.1, the comparison people type as 275/65R20 vs 275/60R20. 315/70R17 is 34.4. 37x12.50R17 is a true 37. From a stock 20-inch Lariat to a 35 is a 6% class change. From a Raptor 315 to a 37 is a smaller step than people think, because the Raptor already starts tall. The 35 vs 37 page is that pair.
Biggest tire on a stock F-150
There is no honest single answer. A stock XL 4x2 on 245/70R17 has less room than a Tremor. A Raptor is already on 35-class rubber. Stay inside about 3% of the placard diameter as a first filter, then take the truck to a shop that has done that year. We will not publish a clearance number we have not measured.
