Jeep Wrangler tire size

Sport 31s, Rubicon 33s, 392 in the 35 band.

Jeep Wrangler tire size is the trim. Sport and Sport S wear 245/75R17, about 31.5 inches. Sahara wears 255/70R18. Willys and Rubicon wear 285/70R17, 32.7 inches, the size shops call a 33. Rubicon 392 wears 315/70R17, 34.4 inches, the size shops call a 35. JL (2018+) is this table. JK is a different year and a different well.

Stock sizes by trim

Jeep also sells 35-inch packages on some Rubicon and Willys builds, and a 255/60R20 on some Sahara 4xe rows. If the window sticker lists a 35-inch group, believe that sticker over the base Rubicon row.

Why the sticker beats the chart

A Sport that already has a 3-inch lift and 33s will not match this chart. The placard still lists the factory size, which is what the speedometer is calibrated to. If you keep the 33s, recalibrate. If you go back to stock, use the placard.

This is not a fitment database

A Jeep Wrangler can leave the factory on more than one size. Export markets, mid-year packages and previous-owner plus-sizes all disagree with a chart. Read the driver-door placard. Match width, aspect ratio and rim together.

Swapping to a different size

Sport 245/75R17 to Rubicon 285/70R17 is about +3.8% diameter and a lot more width. That is already past the tidy 3% filter. Sport to a true 35x12.50R17 is about +11%. That is a lift, fender and re-gear conversation. Compare live: 245/75R17 vs 285/70R17. The 33 vs 35 page is the next step.

35s on a Wrangler

A 392 already sits in that band on 315/70R17. A Sport does not. Rubicon fenders and the 35-inch factory package exist because Jeep knows this is the common ask. Geometry first, then a shop that has done JL, not a photo of someone else's Sport.
