Toyota Corolla tire size

205/55R16 on the LE, 225/40R18 on SE and XSE.

Toyota Corolla tire size on the current 12th-gen sedan is two stamps. LE, Hybrid LE and Hybrid XLE wear 205/55R16. SE, XSE and the FX wear 225/40R18. Hatchbacks sometimes flip that pairing (an SE hatch can stay on 16s). The door sticker ends the argument.

Stock sizes by trim

These are the current North American sedan and common hybrid sizes. GR Corolla is not in this table. It is a different car with a 235/40R18 and a different well.

Why the sticker beats the chart

Every parking lot has three Corollas, and they do not share a size. "Just give me the Corolla tire" is how you get a 16 mounted on an 18-inch XSE, or the other way around.

This is not a fitment database

A Toyota Corolla can leave the factory on more than one size. Export markets, mid-year packages and previous-owner plus-sizes all disagree with a chart. Read the driver-door placard. Match width, aspect ratio and rim together.

Swapping to a different size

205/55R16 is about 24.9 inches. 225/40R18 is about 25.1. Toyota held height and changed the wheel. That is plus-two. If you want SE wheels on an LE, diameter is not the problem. Offset, brake clearance and the firmer ride are.

Hybrid XLE stays on 16s

Toyota put the Hybrid XLE back on 205/55R16 even though the gas XSE is on 18s. Economy trim logic, not a mistake. If you buy XLE wheels expecting 225/40R18, you will be ordering the wrong tire.
