Toyota Tacoma tire size on the 4th-gen truck (2024+) is a trim ladder, not a single stamp. SR and SR5 wear 245/70R17. TRD Off-Road wears 265/70R17. TRD Sport and Limited wear 265/65R18. TRD Pro and Trailhunter wear 265/70R18. Third-gen trucks (2016-2023) used several of these and a 265/70R16 in earlier years. Read the year, then the door.

These are the current North American 4th-gen packages. A 2018 Off-Road is often a 265/70R17 as well, which is why that row does double duty for used-truck shoppers.

Why the sticker beats the chart
Tacoma forums will tell you a 33 fits. Sometimes it does, on some years, with some offsets, after some rubbing. This page will not. It will tell you the stock height so you can measure the step. Put stock in A and the candidate in B on the comparison.
A Toyota Tacoma can leave the factory on more than one size. Export markets, mid-year packages and previous-owner plus-sizes all disagree with a chart. Read the driver-door placard. Match width, aspect ratio and rim together.
Swapping to a different size
245/70R17 is about 30.5 inches. 265/70R17 is about 31.6. 265/65R18 is about 31.6. 265/70R18 is about 32.6. SR5 to Off-Road is already an inch of diameter. SR5 to a flotation 33x12.50R17 is about 2.5 inches, past the 3% rule, and a well-and-lift question. The 33 vs 35 page is that slang in numbers.
Stock tire size vs the 33 you want
A 265/70R17 is the size people call a 32. A stamped 33x12.50R17 is a true 33. If your Tacoma is already on the Off-Road 265/70R17, a 33 is a smaller step than it is from an SR5. That is the useful fact. Whether it clears the fender is still a shop question.
